This EFI was built entirely from salvage yard parts. It was done as an
exercise to demonstrate minimum cost to convert a dual carburetor MG to Electronic fuel
injection. The primary savings comes from using a salvage yard EFI computer that is easy
to install (runs off the ignition coil) and is found in almost every foreign car in the
'80s. A single injector (Throttle Body Injection; TBI) was chosen to overcome the
difficulty of dealing with the Siamese ported intake on the 4-cylinder engine. |
