As usual...I had to put my own 'personal touch' on this GT6. The easiest way to do it... the dash of course. It's one of the biggest visuals, and lends itself to a myriad of 'looks' upgrades. |
|
The original MKIII dash had two
gauges mounted |
I have three gauges and four switches on this dash. The center switch hole was filled in with boaters epoxy, and re-drilled for the third gauge. |
The headlight switch is the Clear Hooters switch on the left of the center dual oil pressure/water temperature gauge. The pushbutton switch above it, taps the head light switch for power and feed the fog light relay. So..shut off the headlights, and it turns off the fog as well. The headlight switch on the right, is wired as the interior dome light switch, but with a twist. The three positions of the head light switch are set up to allow, 1-no light with door opening, 2-light on with door open, 3- manually turn on light at any time. The pushbutton switch above it on the right is for the rear window defogger. A voltmeter was added in the original temperature gauge location. The two red idiot lights (lower corners) are the stock brake warning light, and seatbelt warning indicators. |
...stay tuned... |
